Week 2-The Chignon Hairstyle 0001-A classic bridal hairstyle

I had a day off yesterday after a long run of work with no breaks in between! Yeah! It was great. No phones, no internet and no cars and siren noises, just the river, the cows in the vicinity, the sheep in the fields, the birds in the trees, the ducks and the swans swimming up and down the river showing off. Actually there weren’t many sheep around for some reason. They must have been shielding themselves from the heat. It was great. It was peaceful.
Today though, I have been fully absorbed in work. Telephoning and emailing mainly and getting ready for the weddings in the week ahead. And because I haven’t posted for some time, now is good time to do some catching up with you. Just quickly, I am inviting you to have a look at this pretty chignon that I did for my bride recently. You don’t have to read the rest of this tiring stuff but simply scroll down to appreciate this beautiful style. This is my take on the classic chignon. I have of course done a variation of this elegant style many times (keep your eyes peeled for the variations yet to come) but for today, I will pick this one from my collection. It’s a wide collection so you will just have to keep coming back her for an update.

I do love chignons. Traditionally, the chignon is sleek, smooth, simply rolled and neatly tucked into the nape for a perfect classic finish. Simple right? And that is how it should be. You can do it at home too just before your house work. Yes if you want to be stylish in your apron. Why not. Honestly, here`s how you can simply do it at home. Neat gather all your hair at the back in the nape, smoothly tie it all in a low ponytail as flat as possible and as close to the nape as you can, then roll your pony tail and wrap it around the ponytail knot base and pin in place with bobby pins, spray or apply a little holding gel for better control of fly ways and you are good to go. You can even sleep on it for the office run the next day.

For the physical ones or for those sweaty gym sessions, just roll it with a stretch bun holder and you will be good to go. Yes you heard me right. Yes, you should look stunning as well while you are off to the gym. It’s a style that is easily worn for any occasion at any time you fancy without much fuss at all. But of course for the bridal look please do make a fuss and find a professional hairstylist who can take away the stress of doing this style yourself. Most of us, in the wedding hairstyling industry can do this style with our eyes closed. Good luck browsing and keep your eyes peeled for my next choice of a beautiful hairstyle from my collections. Chao!
